References within Pigskin Pick'em to "money," "cash," "entry fee," "buy-in," "paid," "unpaid," "payment," "pot," "jackpot," "winnings," "payout," "prize," or similar terms are descriptive labels commonly used by pool participants. They do not necessarily refer to legal tender, currency, monetary consideration, or an actual financial transaction.

2. Possible Prize Types

Individual pools may use cash, gift cards, merchandise, meals, trophies, charitable donations, points, recognition, digital rewards, bragging rights, another lawful benefit, or no prize whatsoever. Pigskin Pick'em does not assume that a displayed dollar sign or payment-related label represents real currency.

3. No Gambling or Financial Service Representation

Pigskin Pick'em provides organizational software. It does not represent that any pool is lawful gambling, lawful gaming, a lawful contest, or exempt from gambling or promotional laws. The Service is not a sportsbook, casino, bookmaker, escrow service, bank, or money transmitter.

4. Commissioner Responsibility

Commissioners are responsible for the actual structure and operation of their pools, including any participant contribution, prize, payment, reimbursement, award, or other thing of value. Commissioners are also responsible for local legal compliance and for resolving participant disputes concerning their pool.

5. Participant Responsibility

Participants are responsible for understanding the rules of the pool they join and for determining whether participation is permitted in their jurisdiction.

6. No Custody of Pool Funds

Unless expressly stated in a separate written product offering, Pigskin Pick'em does not collect pool entry fees for commissioners, hold prize funds, distribute winnings, settle wagers, or act as an intermediary for participant-to-participant payments.

7. No Legal or Tax Advice

Information provided through the Service is general information only and is not legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice. Users should consult qualified professionals regarding their specific facts and jurisdiction.

8. Tax Responsibility

A prize or award may have tax consequences even when it is not paid in cash. Users are responsible for determining and satisfying their own reporting and tax obligations.

9. Sports Data

Game schedules, scores, statuses, and related information may come from third-party data sources and may be delayed or corrected. Pigskin Pick'em may update records when errors or official changes are identified.
